Description: The microenterprises in Mexico are scattered throughout the territory. It is the business conglomerate with the largest number of economic units in the country (95.4%) and that grants a significant number of jobs (39.8%). However, these companies have strong competitive needs due to the outlook that the global economic context poses, which becomes a clear disadvantage of these businesses in terms of resources and capabilities with respect to large firms, while facing various difficulties related to the management, financing and lack of public policies to support the business sector. This research has a quantitative approach, we chose a non-experimental research design, its scope is correlational and its temporality is transversal. The objective of this paper is to analyze the relationship between the internal factors of business competitiveness and the survival of microbusinesses from Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo, in order to propose improvement proposals for this business sector. For this purpose, the internal competitive factors were selected: technological resources and innovation, quality of the product or service, human resources, marketing, strategic planning and strategic alliances. A structured direct questionnaire was developed that was applied to a sample of 114 microenterprises. The main findings determined that there is a significant relationship between technological resources and innovation, quality of the product or service, human resources, marketing and distribution and strategic planning and the survival of microbusinesses.
