Description: Thermodynamic properties are physical or chemical characteristics that describe the macroscopic properties of a system (Honig, 2020). In the context of Process Systems Engineering (PSE), the knowledge of thermodynamic properties of pure compounds and mixtures is crucial for the design, modeling, simulation and optimization of processes and plants (Mann et al., 2022). The availability of reliable and accurate thermodynamic property databases supports the development of innovative and sustainable processes and products. It also facilitates resource optimization in chemical plants through mass and energy integration, contributing to the effective implementation of a circular economy. Furthermore, it enables the reduction of utility and energy consumption, prevents equipment over-sizing and enhances operating conditions (Hosseini et al., 2019; Mowbray et al., 2022).
