| dc.description | Resumen La producción vaca-cría en el trópico, consiste en la producción de becerros al destete para engorda, se da con razas cebuinas Bos indicus y cruzamientos con Bos Taurus, para obtener una cría con resistencia al clima y a parásitos externos, así como un buen comportamiento productivo y reproductivo. El objetivo del presente trabajo, fue evaluar el comportamiento productivo y reproductivo del sistema de producción bovina que se utiliza en el rancho Margeli ubicado en la comunidad de Quintana, Quintana Roo. Se evaluaron 36 becerros Brahman X Cebú Comercial (BRXCC) y Simbrah X Cebú Comercial (SIXCC) con pesajes del nacimiento al destete (165 Días). Se evaluó el peso al nacimiento (PN), peso al destete (PD), ganancia media diaria (GMD) del nacimiento al destete, y parámetros reproductivos en las vacas. Se utilizó estadística descriptiva, ANOVA y comparación de medias mediante la prueba T-students con el programa Statgraphics. El PN, PD y GMD promedio fue de 34.89±5.51 kg, 163.06±20.39 kg, y 0.78±0.11g, respectivamente. Hubo diferencia (P<0.05) del componente racial (SIXCC) y del sexo (macho) para PN; Asimismo, para PD el mes de nacimiento y el BRXCC presentaron los valores mas altos. Los valores de los parámetros reproductivos fueron normales excepto los días abiertos (126.03±37.62), intervalo entre parto (400.58±77.94) y la tasa de concepcion al primer servicio (50%). El crecimiento pre-destete de los terneros se vio influenciado por el componente racial, sexo y el mes de nacimiento. En el caso de las vacas se presento en general parámetros reproductivos dentro de los estándares normales. Abstract Cow-calf production in the tropics consists of the production of calves at weaning for fattening, it is done with zebu breeds Bos indicus and crosses with Bos Taurus, to obtain a calf with resistance to the climate and external parasites, as well as productive and reproductive behavior. This work aimed to evaluate the productive and reproductive behavior of the bovine production system used in the Margeli ranch located in the community of Quintana, Quintana Roo. 36 Brahman X Commercial Zebu (BRXCC) and Simbrah X Commercial Zebu (SIXCC) calves were evaluated with weighings from birth to weaning (165 days). Birth weight (BW), weaning weight (WW), average daily gain (ADG) from birth to weaning, and reproductive parameters in cows were evaluated. We used descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and a comparison of means using the T-students test with the Statgraphics program that were used. The average PN, PD, and GMD were 34.89+5.51 kg, 163.06+20.39 kg, and 0.78+0.11 g, respectively. There was a difference (P<0.05) in the racial behavior (SIXCC) and sex (male) for PN; Likewise, for PD, the month of birth and the BRXCC presented the highest values. The values of the reproductive parameters were normal except for the open days (126.03+37.62), interval between calving (400.58+77.94) and the conception rate at first service (50%). The pre-weaning growth of the calves was influenced by the racial component, sex and month of birth. In the cows case, the general reproductive parameters were within normal standards. | es_MX |
